This is a great looking, antique, primitive butcher block from the 19th century. The top and legs are all turned design. It is 33" in diameter and 28" tall. Still has all the rough paint and surface. Has never been stripped or cleaned. It has three legs and have cast iron Harper Stove casters on them which makes it easy to move around. The top has around 120 tree rings. I figure it probably had another 20 rings worth on the outside, since it was turned to make it round. If is was made in 1880, minus the 140 rings, that would mean the tree started growing in about 1740.
Makes it about a 280 year old tree trunk. A lot of early butchering history in this piece.
