Featuring a solid three inch thick block of end grain walnut, this chopping block is a grand show and utility piece for your kitchen. Doubles for use an attractive serving board for cheese, chartucerie or hors d'oeuvres. Each block is carefully finished with a special oil and wax formulation before leaving the factory, ensuring it is ready for immediate use. John Boos created the standard for butcher blocks and chopping blocks and has been manufacturing top quality products for discerning culiary clientele since 1887.Using only premium quality American hardwoods, each butcher block is still made by hand using the same techniques that made John Boos famous. To maintain, oil regularly with cutting board oil and protect with wax or conditioner.

Our easy 1-2-3 method of oiling - put your block into a clear trash bag. Pour in half a cup of mineral oil over the wood board.
From the outside of the bag, rub oil into the block or cutting board. Tie off bag and let sit overnight. Oil at least once a month with food grade mineral oil afterward.
