Antique 1800's Butcher Block

  
There is a metal pipe attached to the side that was believed to hold the butcher's axe based on the indent on the wood at the top in that area. It is extremely well built and therefore extremely heavy.

We haven't used it, but we have put it together and it is sturdy. The wood can use some oil and possible sanding, but it can very easily be restored to make a beautiful statement piece as a kitchen island, side table, or however you can picture it in your home! #antique #historic #butcherblock butcher block #rustic #farmhouse.
