Antique Butcher Block Island with Custom Rolling Base

  

It was sanded by a local craftsman who built a custom base with wheels from salvaged railroad timbers. It's really cool and allows the unit to be moved.

We kept the original legs (see photos), which can be used in place of the rolling base. It is made from solid--possibly old growth--timber and is VERY heavy. I believe the chopping block portion weighs around 250-300 lbs. You will need three people to move it and a heavy duty dolly of some sort. Dimensions: 36" H x 24" W x 24" L 22.5" from floor to chopping block.
