Butcher Block Antique Wood 50x35 With 6 legs From Old Chicken Slaughter House
Antique Vintage Wood Large Butcher Block with 6 legs from old slaughter House. Vintage maple wood butcher block from a chicken slaughterhouse in Petaluma. It has six tall sturdy legs and undulated surface make this piece a work of functional art for any chef and is a perfect center island for any country gourmet kitchen or outdoor grilling area. It is almost worth designing a kitchen around. It would defiantly be a conversation starter.
Expresses early American craftsmanship and showcases dovetailing and tongue and groove construction (those dovetails go all the way through the block). The wood has a wonderful warm golden patina with some discoloration and signs of wear in the cutting area typical of a block of this age. This butcher block is large and heavy. 34" tall, 50" wide & 35" deep, the wood is 16" thick from top to bottom.
