Freestanding butcher block tables handcrafted at the San Pedro art district

  

These butcher block tables were handcrafted at the Los Angeles Maritime Institute's wood shop in San Pedro, ca. The white oak laminated butcher blocks are glued using water proof adhesive, and treated with mineral oil. The legs are fabricated from tropical hardwoods for the smaller table and American Cherry for the larger table. The legs are permanently secured with 2"X2"X21/2" mortise and tenon joints set in G-Flex epoxy, and pinned using 5/16" bronze drift pins.
