Handmade by a craftsman with 27 years of woodworking experience from solid Walnut, Jobe WoodArt's end grain butcher block cutting board is gentle on knives and made to last many years with proper care. Each of our boards is unique whether due to pattern, size, or naturally the variation inherent in wood. Built a full 1 1/2" thick, this Chef's quality commercial duty board is 14 1/4" long and 12 3/4 wide and weighs 6 lb 1 oz. Comparable in quality and materials to those from a well-known. One side is solid for vegetables or other, drier items, while the other side has a juice groove for meat. It is fully seasoned and pre-treated with a blend of beeswax and food grade mineral oil to make maintenance a breeze. As wood absorbs and releases moisture, whether through use, washing, or seasonal changes, it will move - sometimes causing warping and/or cracking.
