OLD Antique Vintage Maple Butcher block approx. 30 long x 30 wide x 5-1/2thick

  
This OLD Antique Vintage Maple Butcher block is 30" long x 30" wide x 5-1/2 thick. My family bought this butcher block in 1963 from a "trading post" antique store next to the railroad tracks in Chatsworth, California. Just on the other side of the Railroad tracks was the "Munch Box" hamburger stand (see Visiting with Huell Howser: Munch Box). It sat in our kitchen in Chatsworth for many years and moved with us several times. The last two pictures are of the bottom.

Note the unusual "double" Dovetails joints linking the blocks together. I have looked at a number of these old "professional" butcher blocks over the years. I have never seen one as clean as this, usually their joints have all loosened up with gaps between the end-grain laminated blocks sometimes filled with putty to hide the gaps...... It weighs 129 pounds as shown and will probably weight about 150 pounds when boxed up. The item "OLD Antique Vintage Maple Butcher block approx.
