Stunning Maherajah Exotic Woods, Vintage Butcher / Chopping Block / Table Top

  

This would make a fantastic addition on a custom stand or built into a countertop. See last pic for idea. This unique, custom made butcher block was hand crafted in the mid 1970's at Maherajah Water Skis in Healdsburg, Sonoma County, California, using the same exotic hardwoods as the famous skis.

End grain bubinga, purple heart, wenge, hard eastern ash, hard maple. 26" x 27-1/4" x 5-5/8.

This 47 year old block has never been used for cutting and has been in storage for 34 years. There are some minor dings on the sides - the top is pristine. It would also make an impressive coffee or side table top. Very difficult to get photos that do justice to this piece.
