Vintage Butcher Block Dovetailed Solid Maple Wood Table Massive

  
My husband had a home in the Mammoth Meadows area of Mammoth Lakes, California back in the late 50s, early 60s. He found this butcher block inside an old mine shaft on property belonging to a friend. The wood appears to be maple. At one time there was a makers mark on the side but that gradually faded.

I believe this is a Michigan Maple Block. Overall this piece is in great condition and is structurally sound with four solid legs. You can see some slight splitting in the legs. Legs are removable for transportation.
