This piece is an end grain butcher block/cutting board with handles on all sides. It is made from walnut which has been arranged in a simple but elegant arrangement to create symmetrical patterns in the dark rich wood tones. This piece would also make a great charcuterie board or trivet however it's true purpose is to be a cutting board/butcher block where it's nearly indestructible end grain construction will last for many years while being easy on the edges of your knives. This piece measures approximately 15 3/4"long x 8 1/2"wide x 1 5/8thick.

It has also been finished with a food safe mineral oil making it great for food contact and food preparation. All of my boards are worked from hand selected kiln dried lumber until they reach nothing less than heirloom quality. Each piece is unique and is as much a work of art as it is functional. They will require a fresh coat of mineral oil, wax or a mixture of the two from time to time in order to maintain their natural beauty.

There are many finishing options available just be sure whatever you use is FOOD SAFE. These boards are very durable and after years of heavy use can be sanded down and completely refinished.
